Sake Festival Singapore, a prominent event distinct from Sake Matsuri, is recognized as one of Asia’s earliest and most significant exhibitions dedicated to sake and Japanese liquors. Organized by Orihara, a well-known boutique specializing in Japanese liquor, this festival is set to return for its ninth edition this year. It will take place on June 15 from 2 PM to 7 PM.

The festival is a haven for sake enthusiasts, offering an extensive selection of 300 different sake labels from various prefectures across Japan. These sakes will be available for tasting at numerous booths. Each booth will be managed by toji (master brewers) and kurabito (brewery workers) from some of Japan’s most reputable breweries. These experts will share their knowledge and insights into the ancient art of sake brewing, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of the craft. Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to taste exclusive sakes available only at this event, adding a unique element to the experience.

In addition to the sake, the festival will feature culinary delights from seven esteemed Japanese chefs and restaurateurs. These culinary experts will prepare specially crafted dishes for the event, ensuring a delightful gastronomic experience. Attendees can look forward to enjoying izakaya-style bites from popular establishments such as Hearth, Torso, Teppei, Kajiken, and others.

For the first time in the festival’s history, certified sake sommeliers will be present to offer recommendations on sake and food pairings. This addition aims to enhance the tasting experience by helping attendees discover the best combinations of sake and food, further elevating the overall enjoyment of the festival.

The Sake Festival Singapore promises a comprehensive cultural and sensory experience, celebrating the rich traditions of Japanese sake and cuisine. Whether you are a seasoned sake connoisseur or a curious newcomer, this festival offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore and enjoy the world of sake.
