Trifecta, set to open on October 28, offers a unique experience for enthusiasts of skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfskating. Despite the absence of natural snow, this attraction features several exciting elements, including Asia’s largest standing wave pool and the world’s first hybrid skate bowl designed for both skateboarding and surfskating.
Snow Arena:
Instead of genuine snow, Trifecta utilizes a specially designed “ski carpet” moistened with water to replicate the sensation of skiing on snow while reducing friction. Professional skiers and snowboarders can reach speeds of up to 35km/h on this treadmill-like carpet, using rented equipment or their personal gear. Beginners can start at a more manageable speed of around 10km/h. The simulator, operated by two staff members, can also simulate slopes of up to 22 degrees downhill and tilts of five degrees to the left or right. Additionally, the snow arena includes two dry slopes for practicing tricks, one for jibbing and the other for launching riders into the air to perform jumps and flips onto an airbag.
Surf Arena:
Trifecta’s 9.34m pool holds a vast reservoir of water, equivalent to an Olympic-sized pool, propelled by 11 powerful pumps to create ocean-like waves with strong water pressure, a technology developed less than a decade ago. Surfers in this sheltered but open-air arena can use real surfboards with fins to ride waves that are 60cm deep and up to 1.5m high. A supportive bar can be added for beginners to maintain balance on the surfboard.
Skate Arena:
The skate bowl, designed to accommodate varying skill levels, features entry points without the usual circular metal coping, allowing for a gentler “roll-in” for beginners and a more comfortable experience for surfskaters. Unlike traditional skateboards, surfskates are designed to mimic the feel of surfing a wave. Trifecta’s skate bowl complements the nearby Somerset Skate Park, offering free open sessions.

“Action-Entertainment” Space:
The name “Trifecta” reflects the concept of being able to snowboard, surf, and skateboard all in one day. For those not participating in these sports, Trifecta aims to be an “action-entertainment” space with open and inviting areas for spectators. The facility features colorful steps doubling as seating, large windows, and free entry for spectators. Additionally, Trifecta offers a café called Butter, in collaboration with Two Men Bagel House, serving a variety of food and drinks. The opening weeks will feature film screenings, a community art market, and a music festival.
Trifecta’s operating hours are from 7 am to midnight daily, and classes are available at prices ranging from S$40 to S$120.
