Dive into a realm of illuminated art installations at Asia’s premier sustainable light festival, spanning four locations across Singapore, including the debut of Tanjong Pagar.

Returning from May 31 to June 23, Marina Bay, Millenia Walk, and South Beach will once again dazzle visitors with i Light Singapore 2024, now in its 10th edition. The festival promises a plethora of captivating eco-friendly outdoor experiences and light exhibitions. Excitingly, Tanjong Pagar will host the festival for the first time ever.

i Light Singapore 2024, presented by DBS and URA, will feature 17 stunning installations and engaging programs centered around its 2024 theme, Cyclical Nature, focusing on the color green from the visible light spectrum. Each design invites spectators to immerse themselves in interactive artworks that explore the potential of everyday objects for redesign, restoration, and repurposing.

The creative installations, crafted by 25 artists from eight countries, including Singapore, range from Instagram-worthy immersive walks to grand lantern displays. These designs aim to prompt visitors to reevaluate their surroundings, spark conversations among festival-goers, and adopt sustainable habits.

Notable Art Installations:
Witness fresh artworks at four different locations, including Spin Me a Yard by the United Kingdom’s Studio Vertigo at Mist Walk, showcasing enormous yarn balls intertwined with the environment, highlighting the impact of yarn production on global pollution. Additionally, The Liminal; Minimal installation in front of the Red Dot Design Museum sheds light on urban construction waste.
Moreover, Tanjong Pagar will feature extraordinary installations for the first time. Explore displays like BottleBlooms, showcasing solar-powered plastic blossoms made from around 1,000 upcycled PET bottles, and the interactive light art game Kickit Team Tennis, perfect for group play.

Don’t miss the radiant Hidden Garden by Hungary’s Koros Design Studio and Lumi resembling a meandering river path at South Beach, offering some of the festival’s most Instagram-worthy moments.

Gastrobeats 2024:
Gastrobeats merges music, food, and entertainment at Bayfront Event Space from May 31, between 4pm and 11pm, offering delights from 50 hawker stalls selling global eats, sustainable foods, and carnival treats.
