Every year, Orchard Road is transformed into a land of wonder known as “Christmas on a Great Street”, with Christmas lights, decorations and entertainment to celebrate this memorable holiday.

The festival runs between November and January each year, with attractions free to view. So bring your family down to this Christmas wonderland during your visit to Singapore!

Christmas on a Great Street covers around 3kms of Orchard Road, starting at Tanglin Mall and travelling up to Istana Park. The best time to visit Orchard Road during this time is at night when you’ll be treated to spectacular lighting shows and heaps of interactive Christmas-themed displays.
The festival usually kicks off in mid-November at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, where the roads are closed, and thousands of people converge on Orchard Road to witness the street lit up for the first time in the year.

On the eve of Christmas and New Year’s Day, visitors to Orchard Road will also be treated to a special countdown segment with unique content and augmented reality at midnight.

Look forward to carnival treats, games, and everything fun. Perfect for families and kids, the Village will feature Singapore’s first-ever all-white carousel, new attractions such as an inflatable bouncer, and countless other rides, including swings, teacups, and trackless trains.

You can get to Orchard Road by taking the MRT on the north/south, north/east or central line and alighting at Dhoby Ghaut, Somerset or Orchard stations.
