Celebrations at Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay will be transformed into a magical wonderland this Mid-Autumn Festival. Join Kiddo and friends on a journey through picturesque paths illuminated by colourful lanterns depicting joyful scenes of childhood playtime under the moonlit skies. Don’t miss out on a special lantern set designed by the renowned local art illustrator, Mr. Lee Kow Fong, which will evoke nostalgic memories of traditional Mid-Autumn celebrations.

These captivating lanterns will light up Gardens by the Bay from 6 PM to 10 PM every evening. In addition to the enchanting lanterns, visitors can participate in lantern walks (with lanterns given out on a first-come, first-serve basis), join workshops and activities, explore a vibrant marketplace, and enjoy captivating performances throughout the month.

Lights by the Lake 2024

Jurong Lake Gardens will be transformed into a magical wonderland this Mid-Autumn Festival. Lights by the Lake 2024 is a dazzling event that combines stunning light displays, captivating music, and cultural performances. As part of the 21st NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra®, the event will feature a theme of “Moonlit Melodies.” Local musicians will serenade attendees with popular Mandarin and English songs, creating an enchanting atmosphere.

Beyond the musical performances, visitors can explore the enchanting lantern displays, immerse themselves in cultural showcases, and enjoy live music performances. The festivities will also include movie screenings and interactive evenings filled with lantern riddles, offering something for everyone to enjoy.

Dates: 8 September – 22 September 2024

Chinatown Celebrations

This year, Chinatown in Singapore is set to dazzle visitors with a captivating theme of “Celebrating Mid-Autumn Across Generations.” The festival’s centerpiece, an impressive 8-meter-high lantern, will illuminate the streets from Chinatown Point to Kreta Ayer Square, depicting a heartwarming scene of three generations of a family gathering under the moon.

The festivities will extend over several weeks, offering a variety of exciting events for all ages. From captivating stage shows to enchanting lantern walks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Those seeking a more interactive experience can participate in the lantern riddle contest or even adopt a lantern to take home as a cherished memento.

Hub & Spoke Mid-Autumn Moonwalk at Changi Airport

The Hub & Spoke Mid-Autumn Moonwalk at Changi Airport offers a unique and immersive experience for families and friends. As you stroll through the airport’s illuminated pathways, you’ll be transported to a prehistoric world with life-sized dinosaur sculptures. The Jurassic Arc Lantern Walk is a must-see, featuring towering T-Rexes and Spinosaurus models that are perfect for photos.

For the little ones, there’s plenty to do. The Changi Airport Exclusive DIY Lantern Making activity allows children to create personalised lanterns with unique decorations. And if they’re feeling adventurous, they can participate in the Mooncake Making Workshop conducted by the Hub & Spoke Cafe team for just $20 per child.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Guests of all ages can enjoy the interactive Guess the Lantern Riddle game, which involves solving puzzles and completing a crossword to navigate the path. There’s also a chance to win prizes in the lucky draw and enjoy enchanting live performances by a local Chinese orchestra.

The Singapore Discovery Centre will host Moon-Lit!, to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Visitors can embark on a self-guided trail around the centre, culminating in a rewarding ‘SingaPaw’ Mooncake Key Chain. For members of the Singapore Discovery Centre, a delightful Moon-Lit BBQ awaits, featuring a family barbecue, tea drinking, and mooncake sampling amidst various other activities.

One of the event’s highlights will be a special Meet & Greet session with SingaPaw on 7 September at 6 PM. Don’t miss this opportunity to interact with the beloved mascot. The evening will also feature captivating stage performances, exciting booth games, and a magical lantern walk to conclude the festivities.
